This is my brother, Seth. He is a freshman at the University of Michigan. He means a lot to me, since as my older brother, he is somewhat of a role model to me. In addition, he has gotten me to look beyond my own perspective and be a more responsible person. He inspires me to achieve more, both in an academic setting and as a person. While taking this photograph, I would say one of the biggest problems was getting the lighting right while finding a background that wasn't too distracting. Since he is in college, I also need to find a time when I could photograph hime that fit into both of our schedules. I took his picture in front of a brick wall because it isn't too distracting, there was natural light, and the bricks form leading lines that lead to his face. I like how the bricks frame his face. In addition, the rule of thirds applies to these photographs, and I tried to make the photos well balanced.
